The Truth Isn’t “Black and White!”

Thousands of people plead guilty to crimes every year in the United States because they know that the odds of a jury’s believing their word over a police officer’s are slim to none. As a juror, whom are you likely to believe: the alleged criminal in an orange jumpsuit or two well-groomed police officers in uniforms who just swore to God they’re telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but? As one of my colleagues recently put it, “Everyone knows you have to be crazy to accuse the police of lying.”

But are police officers necessarily more trustworthy than alleged criminals? I think not. Not just because the police have a special inclination toward confabulation, but because, disturbingly, they have an incentive to lie. In this era of mass incarceration, the police shouldn’t be trusted any more than any other witness, perhaps less so.

As many of you know, Stan Romanek is facing a Class 4 Felony charge, and will appear for trail August 15, 2016.

Stan has pleaded Absolutely Not Guilty and maintains his innocence as he did on April 12, 2013 when the search warrant was executed by Detective Brian Koopman and a SWAT team.

This page is to show you who Det. Brian Koopman really is as well as to point you to information, articles, and videos pertaining to Detective Brian Koopman and his accused parties. Mr. Stan Romanek, Mr. Jeremy Meyers, Mrs. Tammy Fisher, and many other people who will remain anonymous ( to protect the families) have been falsely accused.

Det. Brian Koopman was himself facing a Class 4 Felony charge, only to be found not guilty on April 28, 2016. Unfortunately the jury was not allowed to hear the overwhelming evidence against Koopman, and not allowed to know who he really is or what his nefarious record of conduct has been over the past 10 years. Those who were there to watch the trial noticed that many of Koopman’s equally corrupt cop friends were also there some wearing guns to intimidate the jury.

There is so much more we would like to share, but because of legal matters we are not allowed. But we know that once all the truth comes out people will be enraged at the injustice.

Loveland City Council fires the city manager responsible for rehiring corrupt Loveland police detective Brian Koopman

Loveland city councilors voted unanimously, 9-0, early Wednesday morning to fire City Manager Bill Cahill.

Cahill's last day will be June 30.

After about four-and-a-half hours of a closed-door meeting discussing the performance evaluations of City Council's three employees (the city manager, the municipal court judge and the city attorney) Tuesday night, councilors returned to the open meeting just before 2 a.m. to make the announcement.

Mayor Pro Tem John Fogle read a statement "for the press," which he said would be the only commentary councilors would make on the issue at the time.

Fogle said in his statement that councilors were seeking another direction for the city and that the decision to terminate Cahill's contract was "not for cause in any way."

He thanked Cahill for his service and leadership to Loveland residents.

Cahill thanked the mayor and "the many members of council who have been supportive over the years," and said he enjoyed the years of innovation and serving the Loveland community.

He added that he "looked forward to using the next three weeks for a good and orderly transition."

City councilors had raised concerns in recent weeks about Cahill's evaluation process and performance, but not all council members would share their opinions publicly, and city officials have not released open records pertaining to the process.

Even those who voiced their support of Cahill in the past couple of weeks ultimately voted to fire him Wednesday.

Fogle said in his statement that more information would become available later, and until June 30, all questions would be directed to Cahill's office.

Councilors also voted to hold a special meeting and closed meeting June 28 -- a scheduled study session --  to continue evaluation discussions and the possibility of interim city manager interviews.
